Johannes Tolk is founder of Resilient Cities. With his design studio TOLK, he has been working for 15 years on creating digital, analog, and hybrid narrative structures for conflict resolution, processes of change, art, and capacity building.

Anna Kiryakova ist Gesellschafterin bei RC, Künstlerin und Designerin. Ihre Arbeiten wurden unter anderem in der Centrale Fies in Trento, bei der Designers Open in Leipzig, auf der Blickfang in Stuttgart und in der bulgarischen Botschaft in Stockholm ausgestellt.
Sie studierte Bildende Kunst und Keramik an der Nationalen Kunstakademie Sofia in Bulgarien und Malerei an der National Highschool of Plastic Arts and Design in Kazanlak.

Doris Wietfeldt works as a Change Manager and trainer for intercultural competence. In her long-standing career as a licensed mediator and BM® trainer, she has learned to guide structural transformation processes through difficult phases. It is often from points of friction, contrasts, and resistance that the necessary impulses for change can be derived.

Immo Janssen ist Mobilitätsplaner und -forscher und begleitet seit 2020 Initiativen aus Kommunen, Zivilgesellschaft und Forschung bei der Verkehrsberuhigung und veränderten Nutzung von Straßenraum. Für das Bezirksamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg begleitete er als Koordinator der Anlauf- und Koordinationsstelle für öffentliche Räume (AKöR) die Pilotphase der Umgestaltung des Lausitzer Platzes von einer temporären Spielstraße zum klimaresilienten Stadtplatz sowie des von der SenMVKU geförderten Projekts der Kiez-Parklets im Rahmen der Pilotphase der StadtWERKSTATT FK, an dessen Einrichtung er maßgeblich beteiligt war. Daneben unterstützt er die Vernetzung und fachliche Beratung von Kiez- und Superblock-Initiativen in Berlin und dem DACH-Raum.
Im Verbund mit dem Bezirksamt Mitte arbeitete er von 2023 – 2025 für das Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS) im Projekt „KlimaKieze“ u.a. an der Umsetzung eines Kiezblocks im Antonkiez. Dabei war er insb. für die Konzeption, Durchführung und Reflektion der Beteiligungsprozesse mit dem SGA Mitte zuständig und verantwortete die Koordination und den Aufbau von Kooperationen mit lokalen Partner*innen. Vorarbeiten, die dann im Rahmen eines Auftragsprojekts der OE Klima von 09 – 12/2025 in Zusammenarbeit mit Resilient Cities eingebracht und zur Unterstützung einer Platzgruppe fortsetzend vertieft werden konnten.

Lela Ahamadzai verfügt über langjährige Erfahrung als Multimedia-Journalistin, Dokumentarfilmerin und Fotografin. Sie konzipiert und skaliert digitale Informationsformate und kurze Dokumentarfilme mit öffentlicher Wirkung. Komplexe Themen macht sie zugänglich – präzise, journalistisch und kulturell informiert. Sie präsentiert ihre Arbeit auf internationalen Ausstellungen und ist Mitinhaberin des preisgekrönten Multimedia-Studios 2470.media.
Ihre Werke erzählen über die Erfahrungen, die Menschen in herausfordernden Situationen und Krisen erleben und den Auswirkungen auf ihr Leben. Sie wurden in zahlreichen internationalen Zeitschriften und Zeitungen veröffentlicht, u. a. in Der Spiegel, Stern, Los Angeles Times, Der Standard, Courrier International, BBC Pashto, Arte Future. Ahmadzais Dokumentationen und Beiträge sind ausdrucksstark und zeigen die Komplexität gesellschaftlicher Veränderungen, hierfür wurde sie u.a. mit dem World Press Photo Award 2014 & Podcast »The War Within«, dem St. Leopold Friedenspreis sowie mit dem Grimme Online Award & Axel Springer Preis ausgezeichnet.

Andreas is an experienced and successful climate thinker and leader in rural areas. During his time as mayor, the small town of Uebigau-Wahrenbrück was awarded the title of “Climate-Active Municipality” by the BMUV in 2016. With the team of the civil society platform Leuchtturm LOUISE, he won the public prize in the UBA competition “Blauer Kompass” for climate adaptation in 2022. Currently, he is advancing the renaturation of the Schwarze Elster River, one of the least natural rivers in Germany, with the Action Alliance Schwarze Elster. The goal is to store water in the soil and stabilize groundwater levels. Water availability is a fundamental prerequisite for climate-stable forest transformation and thus for future-proof climate adaptation.

Daniel is an experienced climate protection and climate adaptation manager, networker, and pragmatist. He is well-versed in the limitations and opportunities available to climate protection and adaptation managers like few others. His work at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, the German Institute of Urban Affairs (DIFU), and in municipalities has given him this multifaceted perspective.
Daniel founded and led the Federal Association for Climate Protection, advises actors and ministries nationwide on climate adaptation, is the chair of the Friends of the Technical Monument Brikettfabrik LOUISE, and a network manager at the Institute for Mining Afteruse in Finsterwalde.

Tanja Seiner works as an exhibition curator, making scientific and societal issues tangible and opening up multiperspective approaches. She curated exhibitions for Marta Herford, the Design Museum Gent, Lothringer 13 Halle, and the Natural History Museum in Bavaria in Munich, and developed festival programs and new formats for science communication for BIOTOPIA and the German Hygiene Museum in Dresden.

As a founding member, supervisory board member, and resident of the housing cooperative Kooperative Großstadt, she gained experience in participatory processes, addressing new ways of communal living and their architectural implementation.

Dominik is a co-founder of Resilient Cities and co-developed the 8-Week Ideas format.
